I would like to set a featured image (as this is displayed on google, and twitter links) on the first page, but I don't want it to be visible when the page is opened. How can I do this please?
btw - AMAZING theme!!!
Hi, I m dont sure if i understand well your request. i think you want to manage the site image preview. Our theme doesnt havwe this option but you can use the free plugin yoast seo. This plugin allow you to do what I think you want.
Thanks Alexandre - I'll have a go :)
Hi Alexandre - no, this isn't what I need. I can add the featured image on the page, but this then displays it as a banner on the front page when it is displayed. I would like to be able to hide it on the front page, but still let google, facebook etc see it as a snippet.
Yoast should fix this, but we need to wait a while to see the resulthttps://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/titles-and-meta-descriptions/
Hi Alexandre - thanks for getting back to me - but how will it help?
Have you fill the Yoast setting about the preview image?May I have your login credential?
Hi Alexandre - setting the Yoast Back ground image was making it appear on my front page when I opened it - I didn't want that. I've figured it out though - I've added an entry into the header - <meta property="og:image" content= "filename"> and this had created what I need - so the image isn't displayed when I open the page, but is displayed if I create a link preview on a facebook post.
Thanks for your help!!!
You are welcome
